Beckett's Fate - Bonus Scene

By USA Today Bestselling Author Delta James

The morning sun poured through the sheer curtains, illuminating the luxurious suite and casting a warm glow over Irene’s bare skin. Memories of the previous night danced in her mind, sending shivers of pleasure down her spine.

But her thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of the door clicking open. Beck entered, his muscular form on display in low-slung pajama bottoms. The sight of him made her pulse quicken and she couldn’t help but admire his chiseled abs and strong arms.

“Good morning, beautiful,” he greeted with a playful tone, balancing a tray of breakfast delicacies. “I thought you might be hungry.”

Irene’s eyes roamed hungrily over him. “Famished,” she purred, a hint of mischief in her voice. “But I might skip straight to dessert.”

Beck chuckled, placing the tray at the foot of the bed. “Is that so? And here I was hoping to tempt you with croissants and fresh fruit.”

Sitting up fully, Irene let the sheets fall away to reveal her naked body, her arousal evident in the stiffened peaks of her breasts. “You are the only temptation I see.”

Beck’s desire burned bright in his dark gaze as he took in the sight of her. “Careful,” he warned, stepping closer. “Keep talking like that and breakfast will get cold.”

“Maybe I like my breakfast cold,” she whispered, trailing a finger down his defined abs.

He caught her hand, bringing it to his lips for a gentle kiss that contrasted with the fire in his gaze. “You’re playing with fire,” he murmured.

“I’ve never been afraid to get burned,” she shot back, feeling her own desire pulse through her body.

Without hesitation, Beck leaned in for a slow, passionate kiss that left them both breathless. The world faded away into the warmth and taste of his mouth, the lingering hint of mint and coffee driving her wild.

When they finally pulled apart, he rested his forehead against hers. “You make it impossible to think about anything else,” he confessed.

“Then don’t,” she whispered, running her fingers through his hair. “Stay here with me.”

He smiled, his rugged features softening. “As if I could ever refuse.”

With a fluid motion, Beck shifted onto the bed, causing the mattress to dip under his weight. He reached for a plump strawberry from the tray and offered it to Irene’s lips. “Try this,” he said huskily.

She took a bite, savoring the burst of sweet juice on her tongue. A drop escaped and trailed down her chin. Beck’s gaze followed it intently. “You’ve got a little…” he trailed off.

“Do I?” she teased, arching an eyebrow.

“Let me get that for you.” His thumb brushed away the droplet but instead of pulling back, he leaned in to place a gentle kiss on her skin.

“You’re insatiable,” she murmured.

“For you? Always.” His hand cupped her cheek as his thumb stroked lightly over her skin. “I don’t think I’ll ever

The air between them crackled with electricity as they stood in the morning light, their bodies pressed together in a frenzy of desire. Beck’s hands roamed over her curves, his lips devouring hers in a desperate hunger.

Irene moaned against his mouth, her fingers gripping his shoulders as he lifted her up and carried her to the bed. The sheets tangled around them as they fell onto the mattress, their passion igniting like wildfire.

Their kisses grew more urgent, each touch sending shivers down their spines. Nothing else mattered in that moment as they lost themselves in each other, the outside world fading into a distant memory.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, their bodies intertwined and their breaths ragged, Irene laughed breathlessly. “We should probably stop,” she whispered.

But Beck only kissed her harder, his desire for her overpowering any rational thoughts. They were consumed by each other, two souls united in fiery passion.

Time seemed to stand still as they reveled in each other’s embrace, the untouched breakfast forgotten and growing cold. All that mattered was here and now, this intense connection between them.

Eventually, they collapsed onto the sheets, exhausted but sated. Irene stared up at Beck’s face, tracing every line and curve with her fingertips.

“We should probably get up,” she said with a hint of regret.

“Or we could stay like this forever,” he replied with a mischievous glint in his eye.

And for a moment, they both believed it was possible. Wrapped in each other’s arms, nothing else existed except for this fierce love between them.

In that tranquil moment, surrounded by the quiet intimacy of their shared sanctuary, Irene knew she was exactly where she was meant to be. Whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together—starting with the now-cold coffee and a promise of many more mornings just like this one.
